Chuck Prophet’s new album, Wake The Dead, is a remarkable collection exploring Cumbia music’s world. Recorded with his band ¿Qiensave?, the album reflects Prophet’s journey through illness and recovery. The songs are rhythmic and captivating, blending rock and roll, punk, surf, and soul with the rich legacy of Cumbia music. Captured live in the studio, Wake The Dead marks Prophet’s return to music after battling stage four lymphoma.
